Karen served as Cathedral Kitchen’s first executive director from 2003 to 2019, transforming it into one of Camden’s most impactful nonprofits. Under her leadership, the Kitchen grew from serving meals in a gym to operating a state-of-the-art facility that now serves over 100,000 meals annually, runs culinary and baking job-training programs with an 80% employment rate, and provides dental care and support services. Karen oversaw the creation of CK Café, a catering business, and additional social enterprises that fund the mission. Her dedication helped build a thriving organization that continues to change lives through food, compassion, and opportunity.
