Children’s Fresh Air Home
If Just For A Day Summer Program 2022

The summer of 2022 saw over 300 children experience a joyous Day Trip to the Jersey Shore, North Wildwood NJ, as part of the Children’s Fresh Air Home, “If Just For a Day Program”.

This opportunity became a reality for so many of these kids thru a “Founders Grant” that was awarded by the Non-Profit Development Center of South Jersey.

Over 300 Kids from South Jersey and Philadelphia enjoyed a day of fun in North Wildwood NJ.

The day started out with a visit and Tour of the Hereford Inlet Lighthouse. A very educational tour to experience the history and purpose of this special landmark dating back to 1874.

The kids then participated in a fun challenging round of Mini Golf.  Then off to spend time playing and riding waves in the beautiful Atlantic Ocean. For some of these kids, this is the first time they have seen sand and the ocean.   Afterwards, all of the children gathered back on the grounds of the Lighthouse for a delicious summer barbecue. As a departing remembrance of the day all the children received a summer If Just For A Day Tee shirt.  A wonderful time was had by all.
